While Clinton supporters say they would trust her with the nations nuclear codes, most of her campaign contributors do not trust her with their email addresses.
A source in the Clinton machine tells us the campaign has a fraction of the email addresses it hopes to collect in the run up to the 2016 election. Fundraising was on track until contributors started leaving fake and made up email addresses because they vaguely remember something in the news about Hillary Clinton and email.
This reporter talked to several dozen Clinton supporters to get the story. Tarton Gudrin typified many who were worried that they would get spammed or worse if they gave their real email address to the Clinton Cartel.
"My girlfriend's sister's roommate registered with Go Hillary and all of the sudden she was getting spammed with ads for data destruction services and adult diapers," Gudrin said, "and they were all addressed to Madam Secretary."
Other Clinton supporters heard they would have a back door installed on their devices by Chinese or Russian hackers. This would come via a Trojan horse attack in the confirmation email after signimg up with Go Hillary.
Regardless of the truth of the stories, the lack of confidence in Clinton to protect her contact list is sure to hurt fundraising efforts. The campaign counts on having contributors email addresses on hand to solicit more donations as the election nears.
Clinton's pick of Tim Kaine for her VP will help to restore trust within her base: 99% percent of potential Clinton/Kaine voters polled said they would trust Kaine with their email addresses. 86% would also trust Kaine to be alone with their spouses.
Donald Trump took the opportunity to pounce on his rival when he spoke at a rally in Virginia.
"My people--and my African American--understand what crooked Hillary's supporters will never understand: Everything she does is a crime, and if it's not illegal to get your friends and supporters on a spam list it will be when I'm president."
The crowd's chant of "Lock Her Up," swelled in the auditorium as the messianic Trump basked in the adulation.
