In a strange case in Cleveland, Ohio, a woman is suing her own parents but did not want to appear in court.
"I'm sorry", her attorney told her. "The judge says you have to be there in person so that the accused and the accuser are face to face."
So Mary Fitzgerald was in court yesterday to face her parents, Theodore and Sheila Fitzgerald.
"Your honor, these two people, perhaps with the best intentions have hurt their daughter grievously and she is demanding that they pay $500,000 in damages plus the cost of an operation to remove her deformities."
The opposing attorney stated that the young lady's parents meant no harm. That they loved their daughter and that although they did not have $500,000 they were willing to pay $200,000 plus splitting a lawsuit against a clinic in the area.
As the judge studied the case, he asked all parties to come forward.
"Would you mind taking off you coat, Ms. Fitzgerald?"
"No, your honor."
As she dropped her long coat behind her, she also threw her arms in front of her and allowed her big wings to spread out around her.
"See, That's my little Angel, Mary", stated Mrs. Fitzgerald.
"Yes", stated her daughter. "The freak of Cleveland!"
