DES MOINES, Iowa - The state of Iowa has let it be known that they are not going to accept a fad simply because California, New York, and Nevada do.
State Senator Claudette Cora Wonderwillow [R-Sioux City] authored a bill known as The Anti-Piercing Bill of 2014.
Senator Wonderwillow explained that she had been at a local mall in Sioux City when she saw a young man of about 19 with all kinds of metal sticking out of his face.
She said that she could barely stand to look at him since he looked like a fishing tackle box.
The senator said that it was then and there that she vowed to sponsor a bill prohibiting facial piercings in Iowa.
She said that if young people want to look like some kind of metal monsters then they need to do it in California where people like that are not even given a second look.
SIDENOTE: Senator Wonderwillow's Anti-Piercing Bill of 2014 passed by a 49-1 margin.
