Washington - An upgraded C-5M Super Galaxy heavy cargo plane normally used for transporting herds of wild cattle in far-flung foreign locations has been kitted out for the US First Lady's upcoming China visit.
Lockheed's famous carrier will transport Mrs Obama's extensive wardrobe of shoes, handbags, dresses, coats and other sartorial essentials for the week long trip that begins this Wednesday.
White House aides have stressed the aircraft has Ben chosen for its heavy intercontinental-range strategic airlift capability 'including capacity to carry outsize and oversize cargo pants' favored by Michelle.
The C-5M will fly alongside the First Lady's ScareForce One in a visit calculated to cost the US taxpayer a 'bargain' $25 million.
Commenting on the upcoming holiday a White House source said the plane had been picked due to its impressive 121ft x 20ft freight compartment boasting more than 31,000 cu ft storage capacity that will accommodate 36,463 master pallets of Mrs Obama's wardrobe fripperies and underthings.
An extra C-5M Super Galaxy will remain on standby in case Michelle 'overdoes the holiday shopping' and needs extra space to bring home her Beijing Mall purchases.
