ASPEN - Destin Buttonboldt owner of The Baker's Dozen Bakery Shop has hit upon a new idea that he says has turned his little Aspen bakery into Fort Knox.
Buttonboldt said that a friend of his suggested that he make pot-laced wedding cakes.
He quickly realized that the idea was a good one and he set about to develop Colorado's first marijuana-laced wedding cake.
Destin said that he baked about a dozen cakes before he decided on the right one, which he says is absolutely perfect.
He commented that he sold the very first pot-laced wedding cake to his high school friend Dawson Seedstrum and his bride-to-be Gayla Pettigrape.
After that business took off and Destin is now Colorado's top seller of marijuana-laced wedding cakes.
SIDENOTE: Destin Buttonboldt insists that the buyer of the weed wedding cakes sign an agreement that no one under the age of 18 will consume even the slightest piece of cannabis wedding cake.
