WASHINGTON, DC - The official thanksgiving turkey, a Mr. Thomas Gobbler, was pardoned by President Obama before the Thanksgiving feast, and then the President, in a surprise announcement, asked forgiveness from Mr. Gobbler for having taken away his health insurance under the new Obamacare health initiative.
At first the turkey was receptive to the public apology but then, in a stern display of American forthrightness, Mr. Gobbler reprimanded the President for ruffling so many feathers of hardworking citizens with a policy that seemed to be misguided and half-baked.
When the President didn't respond, a group of secret service rushed the platform where the turkey was standing, threw a bag over him and carried him off to the White House kitchens.
As Mr. Gobbler was not seen exiting the building at anytime later in the day, it is believed that he may have been unceremoniously cooked and served up to staff as part of the Thanksgiving festivities. Or he might have ended up as a dog's breakfast which some say is a fitting description of the President's health care initiative.
