AUSTIN - Country music icon Willie Nelson was recently interviewed by Cowbell Notes Music Magazine writer Chipper Caruso on his ranch located just outside of Austin, Texas.
The 80-year-old country music artist said that he had just purchased 10 marijuana shops in Denver.
Willie Boy, and he has been called by five different presidents, stated that he recalls when he first heard that the Rocky Mountain state of Colorado had voted to make the sale and use of marijuana legal.
He said he jumped up so high he swears his cowboy hat almost hit the roof of his rustic decorated living room.
Nelson said that right away he called up his business manager and told him to make arrangements to fly with him to Colorado to see about purchasing some marijuana shops.
Willie said that when they landed at Denver Airport that he could not believe that the smell of pot permeated the entire airport terminal.
Nelson quipped that he got high just by simply breathing.
SIDENOTE: Willie Nelson says that so far his 10 pot shops have raked in close to $1.3 million in profits and he is planning to buy 10 more marijuana shops down in Colorado Springs.
