WASHINGTON, D.C.--Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham were seen today hunting Wacko Birds in Washington, D. C., in an attempt, McCain explained, to rid the Republican Party of all the extremist kooks bubbling up from the Tea Party faction of the GOP. McCain, apparently, first took out Mike Lee and Ted Cruz, and Graham is reported to have bagged Rand Paul from Kentucky.
After that, the two avid hunters moved to the House, where they took out Steve King, Michelle Bachman, Jeff Duncan from Graham's own state, Dennis Ross, and Joe Barton, from the Lone Star State. Said McCain, who seems to be moving back to the center after lurching rightward in his last run for the Senate: "We keep taking out these wacko birds, but they keep coming back every couple of years. It's like the GOP is now infested with these pesky creatures!"
Senators McCain and Graham are expected to host a barbecue to share what they bagged on their hunting trip last week. Nobody in the GOP, except maybe Governor Chris Christie, is expected to attend the outing.
