ANNAPOLIS, Maryland - In a move that caught many residents of Maryland by surprise, state delegate Curtis "The Wow Dude" Anderson has introduced a bill into the Maryland legislature that would make marijuana legal for anyone over the age of 21.
Anderson, who is now known as Senator Sinsemilla and Captain Cannabis, told the news media that his bill would place a $51 pot tax on each ounce of weed, which would provide the state with billions of dollars in yearly revenue.
He went on to say that some of the money could be used to buy snowmobiles for the state's elderly citizens.
Anderson added that with the tremendous amount of monetary income that marijuana would bring to the state, the governor could write out an annual check of $435 to every man, woman, and child residing in the state.
He pointed out for example that a man and woman with nine kids could receive eleven checks totaling $4,785.
The man who was nicknamed The Wow Dude by his 84-year-old grandmother Gretel Sally Finstinberger, said that with pot being legal in the state it would naturally bring in tens of thousands of college kids from the neighboring states of Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
The students would check into Maryland hotels and motels and eat at Maryland restaurants and fast food eateries, plus they would also buy souvenirs of their trip to wonderful, happy Marijuana Maryland.
SIDENOTE: Anderson has said that if the state passes the law then he will suggest that the state flower the Black-Eyed Susan be replaced by the Marijuana Flower.
