Those who claim to have had a near-death experience almost always describe it similarly: the feeling of floating in a tunnel toward a very bright light. But according to retired electrician Clovis Deekins, who has had two such experiences five years apart due to wiring errors, the bright light appears to have recently been upgraded to an LED.
"It looked to me like at least a 200 watt bulb, which provides the light of a 900 watt incandescent bulb," said Deekins. "Man, that sucker really lights up the tunnel. It's almost too bright," he laughs.
"It's good to see that they're keeping up with lighting technology in the afterlife," said Deekins, whose hair is finally growing back. "The first time I died, it looked like an old car lot bulb. This new one is much better, not so yellowish. Plus, it eliminated the shadows. It'll really save them some money," he said.
