It's a question asked every time you go through a supermarket checkout line. "Did you find everything you were looking for?" But at a news conference today, a veteran grocery checkout clerk revealed that he and other checkers don't really care if you found everything you needed or not.

"My manager says I have to ask, so I do, but frankly, it don't make no difference to me if some moron couldn't find the (expletive) pickles," said the disguised clerk, who gave his name only as "Chubby."

Asked to comment, local supermarket manager Blix Hooper said, "This guy is a bad apple, a rogue checker. I wouldn't want him in my store. We care a great deal if our customers don't find everything they were looking for."
