Monday, January 21, will be a very special day for Twitter birdies in the U.S.
Many of them have told management that they are taking the day off to participate in the public inauguration of President Barack Obama in Wash., D. C. A patriotic "flyover" at the U.S. Capitol Building is planned, with all the birds wearing tiny American flags on their wings. Background music ("Fly Away") by Tim McGraw will be piped in for the event.
Organizers have warned the birdies not to poop on the President. The Twitter birdie in charge has told his colleagues: "If you have to poop, do it on losing candidate Mitt Romney and/or Speaker of the House John Boehner. The latter will probably be crying anyway, so might as well give him something to cry about."
The birds are excited about the event. What they are most looking forward to is getting an "up close and personal" downward peek at Beyonce and her boobs. She'll be singing the national anthem at the ceremony.
Advice from those in the know: don't plan on sending any important tweets on January 21. Sadly, there will be delays and more delays.
First things first, y'know.
