Drive-by shooting? Me?? You got the wrong guy!

Chaco, Paraguay - Ownership deeds to almost 100,000 gas-rich acres purchased by George W Bush as part of a retirement nest egg have been scrambled by Paraguay Justice Ministry officials after a lengthy land grab fraud probe.

The former US President bought the leases sight unseen following a tip-off from 'reliable Big Oil source', now thought to be Ecuadorean pollution pundits involved in the Chevron/Amazonbotch scam.

Dubya was said to be totally mesmerized by the acreage that sits close to the nearby US Mariscal Estigarribia military base which spans Paraguay's Triple Frontier - handy in case of any indigenous disputes about well, you know, stuff.

Today Bush's dreams of sucking dry the area of all its natural gas reserves suffered a massive blow with the news of a drive-by shooting of a local leader of a landless Paraguay peasant movement involved in a land dispute with a powerful politician.

Vidal Vega had been a vociferous lobbyist of the Paraguay government for many decades regarding the redistribution of 'stolen' farmland previously occupied by the former Senator Blas Riquelme during the 1960s.

Vega had argued the land had been illegally appropriated during the military dictatorship of General Alfredo Stroessner and subsequently distributed among his scavenging chums

The former finishing school room mate of Chilean butcher Augusto Pinochet was a big fan of the Bush Clan and had lobbied for George Bush Senior to be gonged up with the Nobel Piss Prize during his daze as CIA director.

All that is now a shattered pipe dream that has left Dubya with egg all over his face as details of a long-running land ownership fraud emerged.

"Three million bucks I paid for those drilling leases," an exasperated Bush Jr yelled down the phone to his attorney today as footage of the Paraguay assassination went mainstream coast to coast.

Locals near his Crawford, Texas home say Dubya may have mortgaged his Predator Chapel Ranch to pay for the drilling rights which now look as worthless as a pair of chewed up old rodeo boots.

Ecuador's President Rafael Correal is certifiable.
