Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has blasted the Obama administration over it's foreign policy and called for a change of direction. One Direction perhaps? Perhaps not.
He claimed Obama's stance on the Middle East was sending out the wrong message, over the US Libyan embassy attacks that left several dead, he said.
"If I was in power, the second this trouble kicked I would have been in there...well I would have sent thousands of American soldiers into another desert to spill their blood."
Because as we all know adding petrol to a already raging inferno is the exact thing he should be doing. That's why fireman always carry a jerry can of it to every callout. Mitt also mentioned he would:
"...Put Iran on notice..."
Over their nuclear capabilities. Which is of course what the Arab world wants to hear, America threatening a load of old squabbling men who couldn't put a nuclear weapon together if it came as Lego blocks. Maybe this means he plans on sending in troops into Iran like? Good idea Mitt because that seemed to work so well in Iraq, where it seemed the USA's only plan was to exhaust the Iraqis supply of IEDs with their soldiers legs. Back and to the Left news must admit it's done wonders for Iraq, look how stable the country is now.
Mitt (whose his running mate? Vice President Glove?) went on to say the Middle East was:
"Crying out for American leadership."
Is that the vibe he's getting? What with all the flag burning, anti American demonstrations and hatred directed at Israel (Americas closes ally in the region) we would have though the exact opposite.
But then again that is why Back and to the Left news isn't running for the President of the United States.
If Mitt gets into power it seems he will want to arm the Syrian rebels, so keep the war going lads! Back and to the Left news cant help but wonder that maybe, just maybe, giving more guns to yet another unregulated Arab militia might not be the best idea.
Mitt closed his speech saying that he wanted a more free, peaceful and prosperous world. After the he's finished with the Middle East of course.
Mitt gave his speech for peace at a military institute, which is the first place Back and to the Left news would have gone if we were looking to create a peaceful and prosperous world.
