A man taken into custody by police in North Miami Beach who began growling at officers "like a rabid dog" and tried to bite an officer's hand while displaying super human strength was recently employed at Miami airport and was on duty the day the Nigerian passenger, as reported here, allegedly flew into Miami.
In another bizarre twist it now seems that the man may have also encountered the first, unconfirmed victim of the virus, Rudy Eugene.
While the CDC and Homeland Security are playing down this latest incident, Steven Keegan, brother of missing journalist John Keegan, who broke the story three weeks ago, linking the disease to a potential connection with the Mayan Doomsday prophecies set for 21 December 2012 and Nigeria, including the recent airline disaster in that country said "My brother left a disturbing voicemail message the day he disappeared, the message claims that the virus could be spreading and mutating faster than the government wants us to know. He also alluded to some sort of "Top Secret Bunker" where members of congress and high ranking government officials could be headed, should a cure for the virus not be found."
Meanwhile the family of the man arrested today in Miami, Brandon DeLeon, who is believed to be now under armed guard at an undisclosed military quarantine location, say they have no idea why he did what he did, one unidentified family member claiming "but he is a vegetarian."
Two officers, who were eating at the restaurant when they said DeLeon threatened to start a fight, forcing them to place him under arrest, have, as a precautionary step, been placed in quarantine also and forbidden to see, speak or contact anyone outside the military or government.
According to the WSVN report, an officer's safety bulletin said, "While at the holding cell, DeLeon banged his head repeatedly inside the holding cell. DeLeon growled at officers in the booking area like a rabid dog. DeLeon attempted to bite Officer Ruiz's hand off, it was then that the military arrived and took the prisoner and the officers to a secret location. We haven't heard from them since."
