CHICAGO - GOP presidential front runner Mitt Romney and his wife Ann attended a showing of the new super heroes film The Avengers.
The blockbuster movie broke the all-time opening weekend record with ticket sales of over $200 million.
After viewing the film, Romney was asked by Cahoots Wyoming with Silver Screen Showcase Magazine what he thought about the movie.
Romney raised his eyebrows and replied that a lot of the characters reminded him of himself. He remarked that he really feels that he and Captain America have a lot of the same qualities, values, beliefs, and business expertise.
When Romney was asked to elaborate on his comment. He grinned, looked at his wife, Mrs. Romney, and said that Captain America and him are both excellent dressers, great orators, and he pointed out that he is not 100 percent certain, but he thinks that Captain America could possibly be a Mormon just like him.
[EDITOR'S NOTE: I spoke with Larry King and asked him if Captain America was a Mormon and King replied, "Well let me put it this way. If Captain America is a Mormon then Rosie O'Donnell is a Playboy bunny.]
The presidential wannabe then revealed that he remembers when he was a little boy growing up that for Halloween his mother would not dress him up as a goblin, or a skeleton, or even as a warlock.
Romney giggled as he said that he recalls that for Halloween his mom would dress him up as a banker, an accountant, or a politician.
Ann Romney was asked about the movie. She said that she liked it and she then added that she saw a lot of her characteristics in the film's lone female hero The Black Widow who is played by the fantastically beautiful Scarlett Johansson.
Mrs. Romney was quick to point out that she cannot kick butt like The Black Widow does but emphasized that she can sure get herself in the kitchen and cook up one heck of a four-course meal.
Mitt Romney noted that his wife is such a darn good cook that she could take road kill and within 45 minutes she could prepare it and have it taste like filet mignon.
SIDENOTE: When Romney was asked which of The Avengers cast member he would most like to meet he immediately replied "Scarlett Johansson." He then winked and added that of course his lovely, wife Ann would have to be present.
