image for Whitney was troubled by her 'Shut it now, honey!' anagram
At the Grammys rehearsals earlier this weekend

Beverley Hills - Staff at the Bel Air Hilton spoke today of having to tread on eggshells around the Grammy diva whose lifeless body was found in the hotel's Presidential Suite bath yesterday.

"We were warned she was kinda superstitious," penthouse floor housekeeper Lana Piquante told reporters, "and never to mention that darned a-n-a-g-r-a-m thinggy!"

She was referring of course to that rather unflattering rearrangement of Houston's name that someone penned in 2002 during her 'The biggest devil is me, I'm either my best friend or my worst enemy' interview with ABC's Diane Sawyer.

The singer had been chatting with her husband Bobby Brown at her side when the snarky anagram went viral on the net.

It sparked rumors of uncontrolled marital catfights in the Houston marriage including accusations of Brown's spousal abuse.

"Hell, it was just a bit of darned claptrap," Brown's PR retorted today.

Details of Whitney's funeral arrangements are likely to be posted sometime tomorrow.
