Apple unveiled a new app today that literally changes the way that we will view the new iPhone 4S. The 'Transformer App©' once downloaded to your iPhone will turn your device into any other object of desire that you wish using Chameleon© technology.

It's a measure of how Apple has habituated its legions of fans to regular, eye-catching design changes and inventive apps that the news about the latest app for the iPhone qualified as a disappointment for some.

"I downloaded the app at a cost of £199.99 and then launched the application to transform my iPhone into Jordan. It worked well until it streamed up to her breasts and then the battery went flat! Now I have this headless woman wandering around my flat bumping into things...and it will not change back." said a disgruntled iPhone owner.

Another owner complained, "The 'Transformer App©' Lamborghini download worked fine for the first day; but on the way home yesterday it reverted back into an iPhone as I was overtaking in the fast lane of the M4. Quite honestly I am lucky to be alive".

An apple spokesman said, "this is just a glitch and we will be recalling some iPhones for modification. People are demanding more and more from their iPhones and we do not like to disappoint them. We are currently working on an immortal app so that our customers can live forever." A shroud marketing move indeed.

Steve Jobs was unavailable for comment.
