image for News Media is really interested in itself
A television, staring at its own navel.

In breaking news, it has been revealed that the news media is really interested in itself. Like a teenager who can see no further than struggling with maths, pe, and their own growing sense of doom, the media has spent the week examining its own navel, again.

Mark Edia said: 'It is at times like this, that we realise just how interested in itself the news media really is. I mean Sport is self absorbed, so are the arts, but this is really ridiculous. I hear that there are calls for a NOTW film with Russell Crowe playing Murdoch, and Nicole 'Alabaster' Kidman playing the part of Rebecca Brooks. We are given to understand there will be flash backs in her previous life with Martin Kemp, but I think he may not be available, being in Spandau Ballet, or am I thinking of someone else?'

We asked a reporter what else was happening in the news. He knew, but we are not holding our breath that anything of a world shattering nature will move this soap opera from the first ten or so pages of our papers for a while.

Make Ben Macnair's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
