Well known TV spirit medium Colin Dye says he's been in contact with dead Scottish novelist Robert Louis Balfour Stephenson, has asked him if he's been offered the position of editor for a new Sunday newspaper, and says Mr Stephenson told him has has not.

"Robert told me he is far too busy at this time to be interested in the position anyway" claims Mr Fry, "He told me he's still only about halfway through writing a follow-up book to his Treasure Island."

However Mr Dye admits that link ups aren't always reliable:

"It certainly isn't unheard of for me to get a crossed line, and then find some idiot coming through claiming to be Napoleon. Also of course is the fact that I'd never actually spoken with Robert before so it wasn't as if I could recognize the voice of the spirit I'd contacted.

"All I can tell you is that the spirit I linked up with who claimed to be Robert Louis Stephenson told me he has not been offered any editor's post for a new Sunday newspaper. If you ask me I think you should be looking for someone with the name of Stephenson who is still on this side of life."

Make Tommy Twinkle's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
