Pippa Middleton, her svelte assets showcased on front pages of tabloids everywhere after her stunning coming out party during sister Kate's recent wedding, took time out yesterday to show her colours at a local military base.
Ms. Middleton emerged demurely from a helicopter commanded by Prince (Captain) Harry at Hereford, home to the very special 22nd Special Air Service unit (SAS).
Despite her modest efforts, rotor wash from the blades of the Apache attack helicopter revealed more than the rank and file could ever have hoped as she bent over to avoid the swirling blades and a sudden gust led to a Marilyn Monroe like moment, updated to a Paris Hilton moment, revealing the stunning 28 year old was traveling 'light', as they say in the Fashion World of Brazil!
It was only for a moment, but the lithe 28 year old in that brief moment was the epitome for what men of taste have been saying for years; less is better, especially if wrapped in the perfect package.
The rank and file, members of one of the world's most respected special operations unit, not to mention the first, as it was established in 1941, maintained decorum, and were said to have remained 'rigidly at attention' despite ' the unfortunate unintended consequences.'
Said Leftenant Sean McCauly, "I salute her....the lads all appreciated her taking time off to cheer them up and show the flag....she's a right corker...and has an arse to die for!"
The ever unflappable Ms. Middleton was toasted as the honorary head of table in the mess, and was besieged with autograph seekers shortly after receiving the unit's flag and Tee Shirt featuring a sword between a pair of wings with the outfit's motto "Who Dares Wins.'
Ever considerate, Captain Harry waited until Ms. Middleton remounted the helicopter before spinning up the rotors, much to the dismay of the entire 'band of brothers' who had gathered to 'see her off.'
Pictures of Ms. Middleton's patriotic moment are now appearing on obscure internet sites despite a super injunction, and there's already knock off tee shirts appearing on vendors carts with a slight corruption of the SAS motto featuring Ms. Middleton's moment and the caption:
"She who Dares, Bares!"
