A gay artist has dumbfounded locals in his village by giving permission for children to climb all over a marble sculpture he erected in the towns square.
Larry Sabu, 20, said that he wants to bring his art to as wide an audience as possible - preferably a male teenage audience.
The work - entitled 'Swing on my Enormous Erection' - was created in Larry's bedroom during his 'Blue Phase' and is designed to allow children to play with.
"My 'Blue Phase' was when I stared pulling myself off while watching The Smurfs", Larry explained.
"Art is pretentious at the best of times, so I wanted to make something accessible and practical too - something that kids wouldn't get in trouble for going near"
"Originally I was going to make a set of big, brass balls, but then I settled on just whacking out a massive erect plinth with a great big knobbly tip the kids could swing on".
Various conservative groups in town have objected to Larry's work going on display, claiming it is 'overly gay'.
They wanted something more refined such as a traditional naked pissing cupid, or a large naked muscular man with a massive set of dangly bollox.
