With February 14th rapidly approaching the time to express true love has come.
So happy couple David Cameron and Nick Clegg, in a ground breaking agreement, have vowed to love each other until it is no longer reasonable to do so.
'This is such a happy event' giggled Nicky to the cameras, even now shy of taking the limelight away from his other half.
He need not have worried - David smiled to the mass of television cameras and photographers and declared 'Nicky and I are one. You will never see us part company whilst it is sensible for us to stay together.'
'But true love is for ever' chimed romantic writer Mills Boone.
'Yes, we know' said David 'of course it is for ever but you must know that modern romance has moved on Mills since your heyday.'
'Yes' said Nicky 'Mills, you have to understand we are in a union where neither of us is the winner. However our love has blossomed and like all blossoms there may come a time when the colour fades and the petals fall.'
There was a stifled sob. Mills in tears cried 'You have broken my heart. How could you on a day celebrating everlasting love.'
Cameron turned away 'Any more questions?'
But the crowds of reporters had moved away. It was just David and Nicky looking into each other's eyes with tears streaming down their faces.
