Crash Horror

The interactive website providing street by street information on CRIME IN YOUR AREA has crashed after a chase through the streets of Birmingham.

Police are not saying how many people have been injured or killed in the crash but ambulances from other crime areas were being sent to a Birmingham area where the crime figures have recently escalated off the graph and caused an upset to computers.

Estate Agents are worried by these developments. They fear more crashes are inevitable and break-ins at unsaleable houses will cause problems.

The Police are not pleased either. 'You are going to provide this information for any thief so he (or she) knows where to go. Not only will this be a danger for down market sites it will also signal exactly where the rich people live.'

Others fear unpleasant people will get their revenge on long standing enemies by reporting crimes in their streets just when their house goes up for sale. 'It is easy to claim you have seen an offence which did not take place' commented Constable Turner, taking time off from his artistic endeavours 'how do we know for sure whether someone witnessed suspicious activity or saw a fight. This whole thing is giving us a headache.'

So hesitate before you look up CRIME IN YOUR AREA. YOU MAY BE CAUSING A CRASH AND YOU MAY BE MISLED BY CONTRIVED FIGURES!!!

Make j.w.'s day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
