The BBC World Service radio is to be cut by 25% in a measure that will please Culture Vulture T. H. E. Hunt.

'For too long this service has been undermining British interests throughout the world it is time for Sky to take over' Hunt announced 'these measures will cut the deficit and add to our standing in the world. Together with the Film Council, which I only got rid of just too late to save us from 'The King's Speech', we have seen enough of half baked kitchen sink working class Soviet style realism. Out Culture will eradicate these pernicious movements.'

A distressed Director General of the BBC was seen to be wringing his hands in despair. 'It was this or my salary' he said 'to get people of my standing to do this job you have to pay me a a lot of money. The Government is speaking a lot of sense. We haven't got the playing fields of Eton for nothing. Eton is where the Big Society begins, a charity close to the heart of all those who want to help others.'

Hacking allegations against the News of the World have put back T.H.E. Hunt's plans for a Sky takeover of the BBC but once this matter has been dealt with he intends to move on with this 'liberating reform' and he is also very keen to speed the closure of libraries which have always stood in the way of the promotion of Culture.
