image for Buckinghamshire library emptied in cuts protest
Earning MK Council £6000 a day

The BBC reports: Library-users have emptied a town's library of books in protest against plans to close it down.

People have taken their maximum allowance of books from Stony Stratford library, Milton Keynes - clearing all 16,000 volumes.

DSF, the shit furniture company,(Sale now on) expressed an interest in buying the now empty building as they at first thought that it closely resembles their own stores, full of useless wood.

But having seen the quality of the storage available, and the amount of clearly superior timber along the walls they say that plans for a buyout have been shelved.

Fines for non-return of books are likely to achieve over £7m for the Milton Keynes Council.
