image for Police Chief Takes Hard Line
Police Following Prophet Paul

Sir Paul Stephenson has come out with a prediction that a 'new era of civil unrest' is in the pipeline for Britain. This comes in the aftermath of the Kettle boiling in Whitehall and 16 campus buildings being occupied by students.

Sir Paul anticipated 'a scale of student unrest not seen in decades' All this comes in the latest issue of @ - broadsheet of radical students, which carries Stephenson's article. The broadsheet was being given away by students at the sit-in at the offices of the Lib Dem MP Simon Hughes.

Hughes was not present, agonising on the damage to his arse caused by sitting on a fence for several weeks.

Cries from those who saw the Police Chief fulfilling his own prophesy, even as he spoke, felt he should pretend there was going to be no civil unrest. 'He should try and deescalate' said a mountain climber approaching Mount Everest 'if you talk long enough about something happening, don't be surprised when it does happen!'

The Archbishop of Canterbury has intervened with his concern for 'the poor wayward lambs, only years from their mother's knees' who are going out on the streets. One of the 'poor lambs' commented that the 'Bish' had got his fact wrong. 'My mother's all for this' she said 'free education for all!'

Make j.w.'s day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
