A drugs mule was detained in Heathrow this morning, moments before boarding an aeroplane to the USA.
The mule, Dean, an ex Brighton donkey, was caught carrying over 40 kilos of cocaine in two panniers strapped across his back.
Airport staff became suspicious of Dean, when other passengers pointed out that donkey's were not often expected to board a passenger flight.
Amy Danglefoot, check-in clerk for BA, told us "to be fair, we have so much to look out for, especially with the latest round of bomb stuff going on. How were we to notice a donkey in check-in? He was wearing a hat!"
Police say Dean is keeping tight-lipped about who was paying him to take the flight.
More as we he-haw.
