image for Police Cars to Get Green Lights
This McDonald's drive-thru has plenty of reserved spots for valued customers

Britain's police cars are to get green lights in addition to their blues ones.

The green lights will be used when rushing back from MacDonalds instead of the customary blue light currently used.

A Home Office spokesperson said that the rules relating to the lights will be very similar; cars speeding on green lights will still be able to jump traffic lights but they must not exceed 90mph and if they hit a pedestrian they must pick up the body instead of leaving it in the road and denying they were there.

It has been estimated that 37% of police cars on the road at any one time are carrying lunch back to the station and 50% of all blue lights are used to ensure the sergeant's burger doesn't get cold on the way.

Make Xavier's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
