image for Glasgow Council anger at Scotland's Commonwealth Games snub
The Games will use state-of-the-art technology

Glasgow Lord Provost Robert Winter last night expressed surprise and disappointment at the news that Scotland's team managers for the Delhi Commonwealth Games would not subject their athletes to squalid, dirty and sub-standard conditions in the Athletes' Village.

With the Games due to be staged in Glasgow in 2014, the angry LP said -

"Whit are they gaun radio rental fur, just 'coz the flats leak, and there's rats running aboot the place ? Thats just the way Glesga is.... we cannae dae nuthin' aboot that.

"They'd better get used tae it in India, coz it'll be 10 times worse here in 2014."

Make Specs Haver's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
