Local man Martin Shuttlecock was staying tight lipped as to whether he would be going out to celebrate September 11th with his long suffering wife Anne.
When we spoke to him, Shuttlecock was watching the Lancashire derby game between Burnley and Preston North End on BBC2 whilst Anne enjoyed a well earned nap, after a long day of scrubbing floors and washing up.
He hadn't yet decided if he'd be going out with Anne to celebrate 9/11 He told our reporter:
"You see, the problem I have, is that 9/11 is Anne's birthday, and whilst we both looked on in horror on that dreadful day in 2001, we feel that we should still be able to out for a meal together, maybe a drink or six, and celebrate Anne's birthday. We just wouldn't want people to get the impression that somehow we're having a good time whilst most of the world's decent people pay their respects to those who lost their lives in such terrible circumstances on that awful day."
As we left the Shuttlecock residence there was no comment from Anne, and we weren't at all sure what would transpire.
"I'll see how she feels when she wakes up," Shuttlecock said as he gently closed the door behind us.
More as we get it.
