Sir Richard Branson abandoned his kitesurfing attempt to be the oldest man to cross the Englsh Channel kitesurfing.
He blamed high winds, but the truth is, he hasn't quite got knack of the sport yet. He does need much more time training to perfect his technique.
HE FELL IN THE SEA and he felt a right plonker so decided to attempt to save face by blaming the weather.
Many famous people had gathered to cheer him on in his endeavour to make it into the world record books, but had to turn away, holding back laughter as they watched him go 'swimming with the fishes'.
A second attempt will be made around his 70th birthday so he has lots of time to practise.
