Raoul Aking, former MP and ex-prisoner, who knows the corridors of Westminster like the back of his head, is being sought by the Police after he killed his mistress's new partner. She was also badly injured in the gunfight.
Aking has now threatened to kill any policeman who approaches him, as the man who shafted his wife was wearing a policeman's helmet and had placed handcuffs on his ex.
In a message to me on Facebook Raoul wrote : 'She pulled the trigger, not me. She betrayed me while I was in the Nick. I turned down several offers inside from real beauties so why couldn't she wait for me?'
Aking is thought to be receiving help from several MP's who are his close friends. 'We're with you mate' said one in a Facebook entry ' wish I had the guts to kill the creep who seduced my mistress.'
The business of the House has been curtailed and an early recess has been called. Parliament will reassemble in October after MP's have had a much needed rest. By that time the police are confident Raoul Aking will be behind bars again.
A police appeal to Aking today asked him to give himself up. 'Your life can return to normal, my friend, if you come and have a chat with us. We understand how you felt betrayed. It was tough. We can help you talk this through.'
