image for Creators of Grand Theft Auto To make New Driving Test Theory 'Hazard Avoidance' Questions
Hazard Avoidance

The makers of the Grand Theft Auto video games have been placed in charge of creating the new scenario's involved in the Hazard Avoidance section of the Driver Theory Test.

Test victims must now watch newly recorded clips of various traffic and pedestrian hazards and choose from a selection of answers on what the best course of action should be.

In one new clip, those being tested are shown a clip of a number of pedestrians walking along gayly and asked what is the proper expected behaviour.

The list of possible answers to the question are as follows:

A: Drive at a speed that will allow you to stop safely within the distance ahead that you can see to be clear.

B: Run over the nuns for 500 bonus points.

C: Avoid the nuns at all cost, but try and squash the Hare Krishna's.

D: Hijack another passing car, grab an Uzi 9mm and shoot randomly at the squirrels in the treetops.

The new style of questions is aimed at young male drivers and psychopaths from Cumbria.
