The United Kingdom is waking this morning to the shocking news that the current monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, has been sold to a Russian Oil baron by the Duchess of York.
The Duchess, Sarah Ferguson, who was divorced by the Queen's son Andrew in 1996 is said to have become increasingly in need of money and when approached by the unnamed Russian, saw it as her only hope to fund her lavish lifestyle.
A number of legal experts are now reviewing the sale to understand exactly how Ferguson was able to complete the sale of a reigning monarch. So far however it does appear that the transaction is completely legal after the Queen's husband Prince Phillip lost his ownership of the monarch in a late night poker match to the Duchess 6 weeks ago.
Ironically, it was her hand of 3 Queens that beat his pair of Jacks.
The Queen will be leaving Buckingham Palace to take up her new residence in a warehouse in Omsk in the next few days.
