LONDON - UK: The Royal rags and Tabloid headlines have been screaming:
"Prince William proposes to Kate Middleton"
"Wills and Kate to announce engagement"
"UK set for Royal wedding"
"Wedding hint from Wills and Kate"
"November wedding for Prince William and Kate Middleton?"
'Friends' of Charles/Camilla/Wills/Kate/the Middletons all claim to have the real inside info on the upcoming Royal Wedding.
As rumor machines go into overdrive and wedding dates are mentioned, Clarence House has stepped in and denied that there is going to be any Royal Wedding.
Now comes word from a well-known Palace insider that the future King of England and his commoner bride could very well have done a quick bunk to the Isle of Mustique and secretly married months ago.
Mused the Palace wag: "This gives them a chance to see if they're suited. I mean we can't afford another Charles-Diana; Andrew/Fergie fiasco can we? If they can hang in there for 6 months or so and find some compatibility we'll have gotten over the business of an election and then they can have the regal pomp and fuss of a Royal Wedding - and nobody will be the wiser."
