A spokesperson for Welsh TV has admitted that many of its programs are being broadcast while nobody is tuned in. "We just don't understand it," says Rhys Jones. The program quality is exceptional and varied but we are all now facing cutbacks."
Spoof accessed details showing viewing audiences for last week and it was grim. For instance take last Monday evening's much hyped Welsh interracial drama - 'Baba Black Sheep.' Even though it featured the first interracial Welshman and black sheep kiss it still only attracted 9 viewers.
Another flop was 'Rhyd from Riyadh' telling the tale of a half Welsh half Saudi farmer who introduces sheep to the desert only to see them die within 3 days. "We expected big viewing figures for 'Rhyd'" admitted Rhys.
But possibly the biggest load of tripe to emanate from the Valleys has to be 'Myfanwy, Ma fanny' a true story about a couple of lesbians from Cardiff getting to know each other! "We thought the blokes would've been glued to this one with the explicit shots n all." But with a count of just 3 viewers (including Myfanwy and her beaver bitch) it was a disaster.
The month high was 23 viewers who watched 'How to dry paint - the Welsh way!'
