London - (Ass Mess): A former MI6 officer has appeared before Westmonster Magistrates Court today charged with espionage.

Daniel Houghton of Finsbury Park was arrested earlier this week after allegedly being caught red-handed with Top Secret classified data held on electronic equipment.

Prosecutors said the 25 year-old ex-spook had downloaded material of the most sensitive kind equivalent to a 9.9 Richter Scale tremor in spook-speak parlance.

Reporting restrictions at today's hearing were said to be draconian, prompting fears of a link to the recent disgraceful Mossad/Dubai passport fiasco that haunts fragile Middle East espionage operations.

Previous high-profile UK spook arrests have included daftass MI5 trannie David Shayler and MI6 regengade Richard Tomlinson - who alleged there was a UK security service plot to murder Collonel Gaddafi.

The Halloween 2007 Plutonium-210 poisoning of ex-KGB turncoat Alexander Litvinenko remains, officially, unsolved.
