As the furore over the claims that Gordon Brown is a bully heightens, an eminent cabinet minister has fuelled the flames by confirming that the PM took a finger of his favourite tea time snack without asking.
During a conversation with a colleague David Milliband was overheard to say "I'm a little peckish as big Gordon swiped some of my Kit Kat at the meeting earlier" , although the colleague was visibly shaken by this revelation, Milliband appeared unperturbed, a clear indication that this was a regular occurrence.
When this reporter later confronted Milliband, the Secretary of State refused to comment further, no doubt in fear of reprisal from Brown.
The pilfering of the chocolate covered biscuit delight comes hot on the heels of allegations of the Prime Minister regularly sneaking up behind Harriet Harman and pinging her bra strap as well as restraining Alastair Darling then colouring in his eyebrows with permanent marker. It has also been suggested that more instances of Brown's intimidation of colleagues will be revealed over the coming days.
The PM was unavailable for comment as an Aide confirmed he was "busy flushing a junior minister's head down the toilet".
