British Telecom have finally resolved the major fault they have experienced on their telephone system.
Engineer Matt Tankard, 32, said "for about 7 weeks now we have experienced serious issues on a set of London number's. This week however, we seem to have solved it."
"The problem was most prominent on Saturday's and Sunday's when we just couldn't seem to get the line's to register. Customers were being charged but no result's were ever achieved," continued Tankard.
When asked what it was they did to solve the problem, Mr Tankard was quite vague, almost as if he wasn't entirely sure. "Well you know, we kind of fiddled with a few of the wires in the main junction box. Got a few diagnostics from the switchboard, that kind of stuff."
"Anyway, it's definitely sorted now. Calls finally got through this weekend, so we're happy," he said.
When asked if refund's would be issued for some of the calls, Mr Tankard was very clear, "No, they won't."
In a stroke of pure coincidence, the resolution to the telephone issues in London came at the same time that it was announced Jedward were voted off of The X-Factor.
