A 16 hands high Shire Horse named Flossie has been the go-ahead to sit in the High Court.
The appointment was approved late on Thursday evening, and the news was leaked to the press soon after. On Friday, QC Henry Schaff III was interviewed by the BBC News Channel about the new Judge. He stated "I have dealt with Flossie on a number of occasions, and I've found that Flossie had always been very honest and fair, however she does take a hard line on Horse rustling - which is only natural."
"Flossie is an excellent choice, and I look forward working with her immensely. She's very friendly, and has often wanted me to share her nosebag, which I have politely declined many times."
The BBC believes that a court executive will need to be brought in to wave the gavel for Flossie, unless some sort of hoof attachment can be made, and that they will have to wear the wig for her, as a rogue wig floating about the court could potentially cause a dreadful mishap.
