West Ham And Millwall Fans Share A Nice Cuppa. With Rich Tea Biscuits.

Many local residents feared the worst when West ham United and New Cross rivals Millwall, were drawn against each other.

Both club's fans have a violent history and Metropolitan Police officers in full riot gear attended the fixture in large numbers. Anticipating trouble.

The first incident of the evening took place at 5:43 pm when a group of West Ham fans approached a group of Millwall supporters and offered to shake their hands and buy them a pint or two as a gesture of sporting unity.

From that point, absolute chaos ensued as West Ham and Millwall fans blew each other kisses and tried to breach police lines in order to give their rivals little gifts like Cadbury's Creme Eggs and ice cream cones.

Police moved in on a group of West Ham and Millwall fans who were reportedly hugging in a "gentlemanly" way.

During the match itself, West Ham supporters made several pitch invasions in an attempt to present Millwall fans with even more gifts, such as bunches of flowers, bottles of wine, and greetings cards with email addresses.

"It was pretty scary out there tonight," PC Ron Scratch told us. "The level of mutual adoration was almost overwhelming at times."

West Ham won the game.

Dozens of Millwall fans were treated to tea and biscuits in the parlours of West Ham fans.

More as we get it.
