In early results it is clear that the pundits have been wrong. Neither the Labour Party, nor the Conservatives have done as well as expected, with the parties getting 4 and 6 percent of the vote respectively.
The clear winner has been the Apathy Party, with over 75 percent share of the votes not cast. The runners up were the Spoiled Ballot Paper party, with over ten percent share. UKIP and the BMW remain as nonentities.
Surprisingly, the Custer's Last Stand Party, led by a Mr G Brown-Nonentity scored more than twelve votes across the country.
The Free General Motors Party gained votes only in the Vauxhall constituency.
Exit polls across Europe confirm that the far right, based in Hungary and Bulgaria were not as left leaning as France or Eire. The bottom was in Greece, whilst Finland and Sweden remain at the top.
