As the Conservatives appear set for a landslide victory in the council elections, Gordon Brown has come up with a new idea to prove Labour's superiority- an arm wrestle.
Mr Brown made the announcement earlier today in Westminster, shortly after hearing the latest on the council elections.
"It was amazing," said an anonymous backbencher, "He just stood up and roared, 'There's only one way to settle this Davey! I challenge you to an arm wrestle at noon tomorrow!'"
Mr Cameron accepted, and now the two are gearing up for what is being called by many people the fight of the century.
"It's time to show people that I can be a strong leader," said Mr Brown, "Some people are starting to lose faith in me, and I see this as aa good opportunity to prove that I'm the best man for the job."
"Ha, as if Gordy could beat me," said Mr Cameron later, as he lifted weights at the gym, "He's just going to prove that yet again he's the worst leader this country could have."
Anonymous sources state that Mr Brown has installed a pull up bar at his office in Westminster, and the Mr Cameron has downloaded six different versions of Eye Of The Tiger in preparation for the arm wrestle.
