Fans of the UK talent show inspiringly named 'Britain's Got Talent' have reacted angrily to the news that BGT will not be screened Wednesday evening because of a football match taking place in Rome, which apparently takes priority.
"It's outrageous!" BGT champion Simon Cowbell fumed. "Who on earth could be interested in twenty two overpaid prima-donnas kicking a ball about in Rome? Eh? Who? Let's be clear on this, it's far more important to be in the know about Susan Boyle and whether or not she's lost the plot, or about whether Jamie Pugh still has his pizza delivery job, or about the latest odds on the Greek Irish dancers Stavros Flatley, than to know who's won the sodding Champions League Final in Rome. We need some perspective here."
We asked a few people in Birmingham's Bull Ring shopping centre their views on the controversy and most felt that watching a crap rapper with gold teeth, some farmers messing about with wheelbarrows, an OAP break dancer, and some mega breasted burlesque dancer named Fabia getting her assets out for the lads was indeed more important and more quintessentially British than some poxy football match.
Come on ITV - sort it out!!!
