The UK's disability watchdog, Disabled Action, have attacked UK police forces for not doing enough to recruit disabled people.
A spokesman said, "It's terrible. We have discovered that less than 0.5% of the UK police force are disabled, but among the British population as a whole, we make up almost 5%. There is clearly some form of discrimination going on, and I'd like to see us disabled folk much better represented in the police force.
"After all, our motto is 'Disability is no disability'. We would especially like to see more blind and one legged police officers patrolling the streets."
