Susan Boyle, 48, from West Lothian who stunned the judges on Britain's Got Talent singing 'I Dream A Dream' from Les Miserables is reported to have gotten a divorce from an 80 year old man who is a member of the dreaded Taliban.
A day after her performance, on Brittan's Got Talent, Susan Boyle got a marriage proposal from a man who lives outside the skirts of Kabul, in Afghanistan. The Afghan man who married Susan Boyle is named Haji Zahir Kharoti. He told thespoof.com that he fell in love with Susan when he saw her performing on the show and when he found out she was a virgin he became convinced she was a gift from God.
Susan said, "When I traveled to Afghanistan to marry the man he seemed terribly handsome." "I've never been alone in a room with a man before because my mum kept me locked in the house all the time."
After the marriage, things did not go too well for Susan. She was flogged by her husband for exposing her nose to the local men in the area. She tells the spoof.com, "I thought I was popular in Afghanistan and wanted them to know I was Susan Boyle, but I made the mistake of not learning the Taliban customs."
Susan Boyle decides to a divorce after getting her second flogging during the first day of their marriage. Susan explains, "After getting my second flogging for stepping foot outside his home, I decided it was time to call it quits, after two hours of marriage." "I thought there was no harm in feeding the neighbor's cat which wondered into his yard."
Bruised by the beatings and disappointed because she did not consummate the marriage with her husband, she flew back home to Britain to be cheered on by a large crowd of fans who were waiting at the airport.
