The Edinburgh home of former Royal Bank of Scotland boss Sir Fred Goodwin has been damaged overnight.
Windows of the house and Mercedes S600 car parked in the driveway were smashed. The police are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may know what happened.
RBS Insurance Services said they were looking into a claim for the damage, but said they believed there was a £703000 excess on the policy.
I was passing the Goodwin's earlier in the week and found my wallet being sucked towards the house. I think the damage was probably done by coins torn from the pockets of people passing by. email@example.com
It seems obvious to me that when the universe is out of balance it tries to level things up. Whether you believe it's God's intervention or the natural order of things, I think the damage was done by meteorites. Rev. P. Nuttah
A man I know told me he was going to deliver his repossessed house back to Sir Fred on an instalments basis. I think he is taking six more bricks back tomorrow. FoxyLady72841
I know who did it but I don't believe it's in the public interest to divulge the information as if arrests are made it may deter others. NigelW@FSA.web
They say they are looking into every possibility, but have they checked to see if the smashed windows were caused by loose wheel nuts from an under-funded Formula 1 team? firstname.lastname@example.org
I don't care what he did, throwing stones is wrong. Clair@TheEdenProject.web
I sold Harriet Harman an Armex Black Shadow Catapult last Saturday, but I doubt it was anything to do with this incident as my shop is in Dalkeith which is over eight miles away from Edinburgh. email@example.com
