Seeking help?

With the downcreditrecessionturncrunch biting hard (no pun intended), dog charity The Canine Protection League has decided to boost it's finances by holding a national fund raising day, after the style of Comic Relief.

It is hoped that television and the press will become fully involved.

Several celebrities are said to be interested in taking part. Further details will be made available, including suggestions for events, such as sponsored walkies etc etc.

A spokesperson for the League stated " We are sure that the inherent British love of our 4 legged friends and noted generosity will enable us to help many more distressed dogs in future".

Paris Hilton is said to be very interested.

The date has been provisionally set as Friday 15th of May, which will henceforth be known as Shiny Black Nose Day.

Make The Manic Daffodil's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
