US Secretary of State for only days now had always dreamt of playing the Palace. A brilliant pianist Secretary Rice got her wish when she played for the Prince and the Queen in Buckingham Palace. The aging Royal couple were exceedingly charmed by Ms Rice's recital. So much so that after some hasty whispering between the pair and some enthusiastic head nodding, Elizabeth and Philip asked Condoleezza if she would let them adopt her.
The shock of the question was only exceeded by the awe of the almost immediate answer : "Mummy...Daddy! Can I wear a crown yet?", was the excited response from the woman who was publicly called George Bush her husband.
British and American psychologists have suggested that since Ms Rice will soon be unemployed and has endured an extremely traumatic eight years with " Hubbie" George and having no real prospect of a life ahead of her, the piano rectal triggered her warm childhood memories and sent her mind back into the past perhaps forever. Photos of Rice riding a pretty little pony named W on the Palace grounds seemed to confirm the diagnosis.
